The previous owner wanted to stop running QuickSSL and had never finished the SSL tool. No worries — we did. Now you can still create a certificate in one click, faster and hosted in the EU.
A self-signed certificate is free and ready instantly — ideal for local development, internal servers and testing. Browsers only trust it once you add it to your trusted certificates yourself. For a public website you need a certificate signed by a certificate authority, for example free via Let's Encrypt.
